  • Closing Date for Applications: Thursday 31st May 2018.
  • Auditions & Interviews: Friday 29th June 2018, 10am onward.
  • Entrance Examination: Friday 29th June 2018 9am to 10am.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

The Scholarship program has been designed to recognise, encourage, and support talented individuals pursuing an education in the performing arts.

APGS offers a number of scholarships that provide all or part remission of tuition fees. Scholarships do not cover textbooks, uniforms, excursions, performance fees, technology fees or private tuition fees.

The following awards are offered:

  • Junior Scholarships Years 7-8
  • Junior Scholarships Years 9-10
  • Senior Scholarships Years 11-12

All scholarships are awarded for the duration of the relevant learning stage. The scholarship recipient will be subject to a biennial review of their performance in academic studies and the performing arts in order to determine their suitability to retain the scholarship. 

It is an expectation that all scholarship recipients maintain appropriate academic standards and uphold and respect the Conditions of Enrolment of the school. Scholarship recipients are expected to be actively involved in the school community, and represent the school in activities as required.

Several scholarships are awarded for each category per cohort at the discretion of the School Board. Applications for scholarships close on 31st May each year. After the completion of an audition and entrance examination, successful applicants will be contacted in the following weeks to arrange an interview.

JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIPS (Years 7/8, Years 9/10)

Students wishing to apply for a Junior scholarship will be required to:

  • Complete an Entrance Examination
  • Audition on their principal and/or second performing art.

Applicants must submit an Online Application FormScholarship Application Form, and provide supporting documentation. All fees must be paid in order to successfully lodge your application.

SENOIR SCHOLARSHIPS (Years 11/12)

Students wishing to apply for a Senior scholarship will be required to:

  • Complete an Entrance Examination
  • Audition on their principal and/or second performing art.

Applicants must submit an Online Application FormScholarship Application Form and provide supporting documentation. All fees must be paid in order to successfully lodge your application.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS

STEP 1: Complete the Online Application Form Please be sure to select "YES" under "APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIP". $100 application fee applies.

STEP 2: Complete the Scholarship Application Form and email through to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Fill out via Adobe or by hand. We will then be in contact to book you in for an audition date or place you on the wait list. 

To edit the Scholarship Application form:

  1. Save the PDF file to your computer.
  2. Open in Adobe Acrobat Reader (click here to download for free).
  3. Click "Tools" in top left corner.
  4. Select "Fill & Sign".
  5. Form will open, click in each field where you need to fill and type in your information.
  6. Save and name the file.

STEP 3: Send through all the required documentation. These are also listed on the Scholarship Application form.

 SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

  • Copy of birth certificate and passport
  • Copy of most recent academic reports including most recent NAPLAN
  • Copies of recent academic and or performing arts achievements
  • One recent passport photograph or similar
  • One page written statement by the student outlining their reasons for applying for the award
  • Two written character references relating to you, the parents from suitable persons (such as teachers, neighbours, business acquaintances, family friends, and clients).
  • Receipt of payment of $215 Scholarship Application & Audition Fee.
